Communications Manager

Develops and designs the communication strategy to align with business core values, mission, initiatives and goals. Implements and manages the internal communication processes and channels to ensure staff have the information and resources necessary to succeed in their roles.

  • Designed and launched company intranet and associated internal social media platform (Yammer).
  • Continually fosters relationships across the organization to ensure communication strategy and associated campaigns are aligned with other activities, programs, goals and initiatives.
  • Develops processes and policies to govern communication requests and staff use of communication channels.
  • Acts as advocate to ensure staff felt heard by leadership and feel connected to each other, leadership and the business mission.

Advisor – Operational Practice & Funding

Provided guidance and updated information about policy changes, strategies and practices for school property.

  • Collaborated with Property Delivery teams and subject matter experts to respond to queries and/or communicate critical updates to staff
  • Oversaw, supported and managed initiatives proposed and implemented by the Regional Administrators’ Working Group
  • Took lead in critical Covid communications and updates for internal staff

Medical Secretary, ER Tech, Psych Tech (1998 – 2002)

Held various roles in the clerical field working in hospitals and doctors’ offices. Responsibilities included, but not limited to: scheduling, registering patients, verifying insurance, insurance claims submission, transcribing doctor orders, basic patient care (vitals, EKG’s, transport etc.), coordinating with multiple hospital departments to schedule labs, xrays and other exams, charting patient behavior and working with doctors and nurses to administer patient care.
